INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Locate the segments around the outer edge of the timer’s dial. These segments, each representing 30 minutes, can be pushed

down and away from the edge of the dial (try using the tip of a pen or pencil). Conversely, segments that have been pushed down

can be easily pushed back up by hand. Be sure all segments are pushed up before programming.

Select a time period (or periods) you want the lamp turned on, then push down ALL the segments that fall on or within that time

period. For example, to have the timer turn a lamp on at 10PM and off at 2AM, push down the segments representing 10PM and

2AM, and ALL the segments in between (See Figure 2). You may need to turn the dial clockwise to access the desired segments.

2. Rotate the timer’s dial clockwise until the pointer on the face of the dial points to the current time of day. Note: Nighttime hours

(from 6:30PM to 6:30AM) are highlighted with a gray background (See Figure 1. Figure 1 shows current time at 9:00am).

3. Set master switch to the TIMER ON position (See Figure 3).

4. Plug the timer into an electrical outlet convenient to the lamp to be controlled.

5. Plug the lamp into the outlet on the side of the timer. Turn the lamp’s switch on for automatic control. The timer will not turn the

lamp on if the lamp’s switch is off. The lamp will now turn on and off at the times you have set.

NOTE: To override the timer and use your lamp normally, set the master switch to the OUTLET ON position. This will deactivate the

timer’s control of the lamp, but the timer’s dial will still show the current time of day. To reactivate the timer’s control of the lamp,

turn the lamp’s switch on and set the timer’s master switch to TIMER ON. In case of power failure, reset the time of day as

explained in step 2.

DO NOT PLUG IN MORE THAN THE RATED LOAD (SEE RATINGS). To find total watts being used: If watts are not marked on the

appliance, multiply ampere rating (on nameplate) by 125 volts to determine equivalent watts. For lamps with multiple bulbs, sum

wattage on bulbs.

This is a POLARIZED device. It has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) and a polarized outlet (one slot is longer than

the other). The polarized plug is not intended to be mated with nonpolarized outlets (where both slots are the same size). A

polarized outlet is intended to mate with a polarized plug in only one way — the longer slot with the wider blade.

INSTRUCCIONES:

1. Localice los segmentos en el borde exterior del selector del temporizador. Estos segmentos, los cuales representan cada uno 30

minutos, pueden oprimirse y sacarse del borde del selector (utilice la punta de un bolígrafo o lápiz). Por el contrario, los

segmentos que están oprimidos pueden retornarse fácilmente a su lugar con la mano. Antes de programar, asegúrese de que

todos los segmentos no estén oprimidos.

Seleccione el/los periodo/s de tiempo en el/los que desea que la lámpara se encienda; después oprima TODOS los segmentos

que pertenecen o están dentro de ese periodo de tiempo. Por ejemplo, para hacer que el temporizador encienda una lámpara a

las 10 p.m. y la apague a las 2 a.m., oprima los segmentos que representan las 10 p.m. y las 2 a.m., y TODOS los segmentos que

están entre estas dos horas (vea figura 2). Puede que necesite hacer girar el selector en sentido de las manecillas del reloj para

acceder a los segmentos deseados.

2. Haga rotar el selector del temporizador en sentido de las manecillas del reloj hasta que el puntero del cuadrante del selector

señale la hora actual del día. Nota: Las horas nocturnas (de 6:30 p.m. a 6:30 a.m.) aparecen reasaltadas en un fondo gris (vea

figura 1. La figura 1 muestra la hora actual a las 9:00 am).

3. Ajuste el interruptor maestro en la posición de temporizador encendido (TIMER ON) (vea figure 3).

4. Conecte el temporizador a una toma eléctrica próxima a la lámpara que va a controlar.

5. Conecte la lámpara a la toma que está junto al temporizador. Encienda el interruptor de la lámpara para controlarla

automáticamente. El temporizador no encenderá la lámpara si el interruptor de la lámpara está apagado. La lámpara se

encenderá y se apagará a las horas que usted ha fijado.

NOTA: Para anular el control del temporizador y utilizar la lámpara normalmente, ajuste el interruptor maestro en la posición de

toma encendida (OUTLET ON). Esto desactivará el control del temporizador sobre la lámpara, pero el selector del temporizador

seguirá indicando la hora actual del día. Para activar nuevamente el control del temporizador sobre la lámpara, encienda el

interruptor de la lámpara y ajuste el interruptor maestro del temporizador en encendido (TIMER ON). En caso de corte del fluido

eléctrico, ajuste nuevamente la hora del día como se explica en el paso 2.

NO EXCEDA LA CARGA ESPECIFICADA (VER ESPECIFICACIONES LÍMITE). Para saber el total de vatios utilizados: Si en el aparato no

aparecen marcados los vatios, multiplique el amperaje (en la placa de especificaciones) por 125 voltios para determinar la

equivalencia en vatios. Para lámparas con varias bombillas, sume el vataje de las bombillas.

Este es un dispositivo POLARIZADO. Tiene un conector polarizado (una patilla es más ancha que la otra) y una toma polarizada

(una ranura es más larga que la otra). El conector polarizado no está diseñado para tomas no polarizadas (en las que ambas

ranuras tienen el mismo tamaño). Una toma polarizada está diseñada de forma que puedan insertarse conectores polarizados de

una sola manera: la ranura más larga con la patilla más ancha.
