withaspecialcoatingwhichcannot
becleanedintheusualmanner
withsoap,detergents,steelwool
pads,commercialovencleaners,
coarseabrasivepadsor coarse
brushes.Useofsuchcleaners
and/oruseofovensprayswill
usepermanentdamage.
Thespecialcoatingisaporous
ceramicmaterial
whichisdark in
colorandfeelsslightlyroughtothe
touch.If magnified,thesurface
wouldappearaspeaks,vallcys,and
sub-surface“tunnekl’Thisrough
finishtendstopreventgrease
spattersfromforminglittlebeads
or dropletswhichrundownthe
sidewallsofa hard-suri%ceoven
linerleavingunsightlystreaksthat
requirehandcleaning.Instead,
whenspatterhitstheporousfinish,
itisdispersedandispartially
absorbed.Thisspreadingaction
increasestheexposureofoven
soiltoheatedair,andmakesit
somewhatlessnoticeable.
Soilmaynotdisappearcompletely
andat sometimeafterextended
usage,stainsmayappearwhich
cannotberemoved.
Thespecialcoatingworksbeston
smallamountsofspatter.
Itdoes
notworkweliwithlargerspills,
especiallysugars,eggordairy
mixtures.
Thespecia~coatingisnotused
onovenshelves.
Shelvesshouldbe
cleanedoutsidethe
oventoavoid
damagetothespecialcoating
insidetheoven.

4. Ifa spilloverorheavysoiling
occursontheporoussurfhce,as
soonastheovenhascooled,remove
asmuchofthesoilaspossibleusing
asmallamountofwateranda stiff
bristlenylonbrush.Usewater
sparinglyandchangeitfrequently,
keepingitascleanaspossible,and
besuretoblotitupwithpaper
towels,cloths,orsponges.Donot
ruborscrubwithpapertowels,
clothsor sponges,-sincetheywill
leaveunsightlylintontheoven
finish.If waterleavesawhitering
ontheftish as itdries,applywater
againandblotitwithaclean
sponge,startingattheedgeofthe
ringandworkingtowardthecenter.
Donotusesoap,detergent,steel
woolpads,commercialovencleaner,
siliconeovensprays,coarsepads
orcoarsebrushesontheporous
surface.
Theseproductswillspot,
clog,andmartheporoussurface
andreduceitsabilitytowork.
Do
notscrapetheporoussurface
withaknifeorspatula—they
couldpermanently
damageit.
Theovenbottomhasaporcelain
enamelfinish.
It canberemoved
forcleaningawayfromthe
continuous-cleaningoven.
