Remote Access
This section explains two types of remote access: using the cordless
handset to access the answering system and accessing the answering
system from another phone.
You may access the answering system on the base with the handset
buttons.
You may also access your answering system from any touch-tone phone by
entering a 3-digit security code after you hear the outgoing announcement.
A voice menu system guides you through the steps.
Using the Handset
Press the FORMAT/answerer button to access the answering system.
IF system announces there are new messages;
Press the PLAY/STOP button (2 key) on the handset to listen to new
messages. While a new message is playing, you can do the following:
• Press the PLAY/STOP button (2 key) to stop the message playback.
• Press and release the
button (1 key) to restart the current message.
Press and release the button (3 key) to go to the next message.
IF there have not been any new messages received since last review OR
after system plays all new messages;
Press the PLAY/STOP button (2 key) on the handset to listen to messages.
While a message is playing, you can do the following:
• Press the PLAY/STOP button (2 key) to stop the message playback (press
PLAY/STOP again to start over at the voice menu.)
• Press and release the button (1 key) to restart the current message.
• Press and release the button (3 key) to go to the next message.
• Quickly press and release the button (1 key) repeatedly to scroll
through previous messages.
When you are finished listening to your messages, press the FORMAT/
answerer button again to quit.
NOTE: You may listen to the voice menu at any time by pressing 7.
